Summary of my 2009

My year started off great!
In January I turned 20 & celebrated it with my family/friends. Brandon took me Ice Skating which I really enjoyed & wished I could do it a lot better.
In March I got my license. . . I was wearing a lucky charms shirt that said "feeling lucky?" on it. . . Kind of Ironic in my eyes.
In May I graduated high school & got my high school diploma! Yay me!
One of the girls I worked with at my first job & my closest friend had her baby girl May 3rd. Little Miss Mia Ana. She's a bundle of joy and I can't believe how big she's getting!!!
In June we went up north to see Grandma's cabin. It rained while we were up there.. . We camped in Brandon's truck tent. It was fun.
When July 6, rolled around Madyn turned 3 years old!!! We had two separate parties this year. One at Brandon's mom's house & One at his gigi's house. He was really good.
After he turned 3 I really started focusing on getting him potty trained.. . This continued to be my primary focus.
In August my friend from high school had her first baby. Mr Andrew Jared! Even though I have yet to see him, from the pictures he's a cuuuuute lil boy!
When September rolled around Madyn & I were living with Brandon again. It felt so nice to be back in bed beside him every night again. There's NO way we'll go back to living apart.
In October we took Madyn Trick or Treating in his little batman costume. . . I swear he was the cutest lil guy out there!!! SO polite and he walked about a mile & a half so he did really good!!!
November was thanksgiving with the families. My cousin Josh was back from Iraq. It was SO good to see him!!!!
December. . . Well this month we took our trip to california. I am hoping Madyn will remember this trip, but even if he doesn't remember we took a lot of pictures and I'm scrapbooking the pictures, so at least he'll be able to look back on them.

In 2010:
Things I hope for Madyn
--begin the foundation for reading by himself,
--get ready for preschool & kindergarten

For Me:
--Lose at least 5 lbs at the most 10.
--I don't want to argue with Brandon.
--Scrapbook More & take more pictures
--take madyn out of the apartment for at least 1 hour
--buy a car
--Save for a house
--GET A FULL TIME JOB

(: HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY :)

The End.

We're back from our trip, Christmas is over, and all of our Christmas decorations are already put away!!!
This year has been absolutely amazing. At times tough, but 98% of this year was breathtaking.

My biggest proudest moment is the fact that I was able to completely potty train Madyn. He even is 100% potty trained at night. He does have the occaisonal accident if he's given liquids too late, or too much liquid that his body doesn't use! However, he does know to get up and use the bathroom and can do it by himself  even!!!

This year Madyn turned three years old!! He's the oldest out of all my friends babies, and I enjoy this fact at times, because of this I am able to offer advice if needed. I also don't have to bring my whole life with me when I go out anymore. Just a cup, and some snacks are all I generally need to bring anywhere!! Woo-Hoo!!!

August was great because Madyn & I moved back in with Brandon. (Yay!!!) It's SO much nicer to be with him all the time :)

Our trip was AMAZING. We had beautiful weather the whole time we were in california. . . The last day got warm (78 degrees F), but we still enjoyed it. Madyn was really well behaved for the most part. We took between 1500-2000 pictures, not all of them were GOOD pictures so we have to sort through them. . . I'm working on getting a scrapbook together of the pictures. Last night I went to my Aunts and we made 6 layouts total for my scrapbook. 4 vacation themed layouts and 2 Christmas Themed layouts. :)

Anywho's that's all that's new & great. . . I hope that you and your family all had a great Christmas or good holidays if you don't celebrate Christmas :)

Twas the night before Christmas---Mom style

Someone posted this on a board that I am a part of and I couldn't get through it without a tear on my face, so I thought I'd share it here for all you moms out there....

'Twas The Night Before Christmas

Mom Style

Twas the night before Christmas,

when all thru the abode

Only one creature was stirring,

and she was cleaning the commode.

The children were finally sleeping,

all snug in their beds,

while visions of N-64 & Barbie,

flipped through their heads.

The dad was snoring in front of the TV,

with a half-constructed bicycle propped on his knee.

So only the mom heard the reindeer hooves clatter,

which made her sigh, "Now what is the matter?"

With toilet bowl brush still clutched in her hand,

She descended the stairs, & saw the old man.

He was covered with ashes & soot, which fell with a

shrug, "Oh great," muttered the mom, "Now I have to clean the rug."

"Ho Ho Ho!" cried Santa, "I'm glad you're awake."

"Your gift was especially difficult to make."

"Thanks, Santa, but all I want is time alone."

"Exactly!" he chuckled, "So, I've made you a clone."

"A clone?" she muttered, "What good is that?"

"Run along, Santa, I've no time for chit chat."

Then out walked the clone - The mother's twin,

Same hair, same eyes, same double chin.

"She'll cook, she'll dust, she'll mop every mess.

You'll relax, take it easy, watch The Young & The Restless."

"Fantastic!" the mom cheered. "My dream has come true!"

"I'll shop, I'll read, I'll sleep a night through!"

From the room above, the youngest did fret.

"Mommy?! Come quickly, I'm scared & I'm wet."

The clone replied, "I'm coming, sweetheart."

"Hey," the mom smiled, "She sure knows her part."

The clone changed the small one & hummed her tune,

as she bundled the child in a blanket cocoon.

"You're the best mommy ever. I really love you."

The clone smiled & sighed, "And I love you, too."

The mom frowned & said, "Sorry, Santa, no deal."

That's my child's LOVE she is trying to steal."

Smiling wisely Santa said, "To me it is clear,

Only one loving mother is needed here."

The mom kissed her child & tucked her in bed.

"Thank You, Santa, for clearing my head.

I sometimes forget, it won't be very long,

when they'll be too old for my cradle & song."

The clock on the mantle began to chime.

Santa whispered to the clone, "It works every time."

With the clone by his side Santa said "Goodnight.

Merry Christmas, dear Mom, You will be all right."

Sometimes we need reminding of what life is all about. Especially at times during the Holiday season, when all we seem to do is clean and bake and shop and and and and and and and....You get the picture, I'm sure. So stop for a moment and hug that little one so special, whether he/she is 2 months or 22 years, or even older than that.

For they are the Gift that God gave us in life...and what a gift to be treasured, far above any other!

May the real meaning of Thanksgiving and Christmas be with you all this year.

The week before our grand vacation!

WOO-HOO
Last week before vacation!!!!!

The end.

Thursday, December 3, 2009

Oh, the holidays you can't beat home SWEET home.

So, we put up our Christmas lights & other decorations on Thanksgiving! I'll take some pictures and edit this post to include them :)

I did not go black friday shopping, however I worked at 9 AM on black friday!!! It wasn't as crazy as we thought it would be. Half of our appointments didn't show up which royally sucked, but we'll recover.

Also, I am now only working weekends. Things just weren't working out with my babysitter, and it was costing us way too much to send me to work so now I get to stay at home during the week! Woo-hoo!!!

My birthday is in 45 days!!! :) I am SUPER excited & antsy to see who I will be celebrating it with besides my mom & Brandon. . . I can't believe I will be 21!!!

2010 is coming up SO quickly, and with 2010 I will have a big bad 4 year old midway through, and hopefully we'll be looking to buy our first house together! So next year is going to bring big things!!!! :)

As for now, I'd like to make it through the rest of the year without catching any major colds!!! :)

Saturday, November 14, 2009

Ah the holidays. . .

I love the holidays that are coming up. I love being with my family and everything, but I wish that the holidays would come without all the colds, and allergies that get stirred up when the weather changes. Poor Madyn has been having a runny nose for a while now, and a small cough that gets bigger when he gets really worked up. I'm not that worried about that because I know he had RSV when he was an infant, and they did say that when he was 6 months old he had asthma, but I haven't had them check since he was 6 months old if he still has it or not. I am working on scheduling an appointment for Madyn.

Work has been picking up! Woo-hoo!!!! I enjoy work, I love my co-workers!!! I also enjoy the fact that the pictures I take will be passed out to peoples friends/family's and co-workers! :)

We're gearing up for our trip to california next month!!! I'm super super excited! We'll be gone for 6 days and we'll be going to Sea world, San Diego Zoo, Universal Studios, Disneyland/CA adventures! woohoo! :)

Our new apartment is amazing. I love that it is just brandon, Me & Madyn. It's comfy, and fits us almost perfectly. Only complaint is loud neighbors! but oh well. lol

I'm trying to start Madyn's scrapbook, but am not quite sure if I should include a page of my maternity pictures and THEN start with his newborn pictures, so on and so forth? hm.

All in all, we're doing well currently!

A challenge :0)

Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don’t blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don’t blog about, but you’d like to hear about, and I’ll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on something, favorite type of underwear, explain an interest, whatever. Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other.

Sneezy & energy

I feel like Madyn and I are two of snow whites dwarfs..I’m sneezy & He’s energy. Even though he’s still a bit sick, he’s got a bunch of energy. I on the otherhand am sneezing what seems like every 10 minutes, but have no other symptoms of a cold.

This week is the last week until we get to move out!!! I’m SO ready for this move.

I finally was able to get two good pictures of madyn!! Here they are! 049

Anywho’s I need to get back to cleaning/packing. Have a good day!!!

Pregnancy and Infant loss rememberance day!!!

~Today's pregnancy & infant loss rememberance day and I wanted to send lots of *hugs* out to those families who have delt with a loss. ~

Other than that, I haven't blogged in a while. I haven't really been that motivated since I don't have people that comment my blogs. Comments let me know that I have readers out there, and that i'm not really talking to myself.

We've been packing our stuff, move in day is on the 24th. Brandon's already got a load ready to go and the living room is surrounded by boxes. I know I've said this before, but... I can't wait to move.

Not much else has happened since my last blog so i have nothing else to update on.

Dream much?

This is my dream from last night from my memory this morning:

it started out with me walking around a building and being handed a missing child flyer. On the flyer it had a reward that the family was offering for the return of the child, and it had a description of the person who was last seen with him. I took a very good hard look at this picture, and kept walking. When I got off the elevator I walked forward and saw a male that resemebled that guy on the flyer. I started to get out my cell phone and he ran off remarkably fast. I kept talking to the 911 operator and tried to stay in his line of sight, but was also trying to not be heard by him. this wasnt hard for me. After I got off the phone for some reason I myself tried to catch this man. I tried all kinds of random things that I don't remember at all now except for I tried to throw a net over him and he blew it up into little fireworks and escaped. I kept trying all kinds of things and it wouldn't work. Finally I decided that maybe if I just talked to him it would work. So I walked up to him with nothing in my hands at all, and began discussing things with him. Somehow I ended up catching him admitting to taking that missing child and I caught it in my son's toy microphone that appeared out of nowhere. I took that microphone to the police and they convicted him of kidnapping. I felt good about helping convict a criminal and then woke up.

Why did I dream that? It still makes me feel weird thinking about it.

Thursday, October 1, 2009

Well THAT didn't last long.

WE'RE MOVING AGAIN.

This time we're moving into an apartment, and it will only be Brandon, me and Madyn. I'm excited!!! We're looking into a couple different apartment complexes. One of which I used to live in with my family when they were under other management. Brandon is calling them today and we'll find out what everyone has to offer.

I'm really wanting to start school in January so I hope that I'll be able to do that. Even if I'm just taking one class, I want to get started on my degree!!!! I actually miss being in a classroom setting. It's been a few years.. Since junior year of HS. I'm really looking forward to being able to do that for myself.

I'm also looking forward to getting things settled so that I can eventually buy a car! I hope to have one before the end of next year. I was SUPPOSED to get one this year with my tax refund but was unable to do that. I did however get my license finally this year so I'm at least half way there. Getting the license was something I needed badly, and now it doesn't expire until I'm in my 50's. So I have plenty of time to get a car.

I will miss this house though. I love it. It's a gorgeous layout, and maybe one day we'll own a house with a similar layout. who knows...

So That's what is up with me and us.

Manic Monday

I'm not quite sure what the word Manic means, but it starts with "M" so I figured I'd use it to title this blog.

It's been almost a week since I was able to blog and unfortunately I don't remember what all I've done the past week. I do remember working a lot lol.

I'm still having issues getting daycare taken care of for Madyn and thought that I may be able to enroll him in a preschool instead of a daycare, but there are none around me. I have no car so getting him to one that isn't by me is an issue. I'm scheduled to work tomorrow from 10-7 and I have no idea who's watching madyn and how i'll get to work. I'm so tired of not knowing who will watch Madyn and having to fight with DES/CCA to get them to cover daycare costs.

What a wednesday

So Madyn went to tutor time for the first time today. I didn't see him again until 8:30 tonight. It was 12 hours from the time i dropped him off til the time that i saw him again. He was so happy to see me tonight, but he was soo tired when i got home. lol.

Work was busy enough today. I enjoyed working the 8 hour shift, and it will look nice on my paycheck but now I'm tired and wishing my honey would talk to me more :( we're both on the computers and really nothing is being said.

I figured I would update this before tomorrow, that way I don't fall behind. :)

Bugs Suck

I went to my bosses pool party on sunday, and thought I escaped with no insect bites of any kind. It turns out I was wrong... I now have 9 insect bites all over my legs, and one on my tummy :(. It is so hard to not itch them!!! If you have any "remedy" to stop the itching please let me know!!!

Madyn is in a terrible mood today!!! His listening skills have gone out the window!!

A little late

I didn't post yesterday, so I'm posting two blogs today.

Yesterday(sunday) I worked from 11-2, went and got a few groceries with mom and then home to see my honey for a little while. Then at 4:30(ish) Kristen came to pick us up!!!

We had a pool party for work because we made our "numbers." It was so much fun. Even Madyn had a ball!! (literally)..He threw a few over the bosses fence and her neighbors had the blinds open, I was surprised that they didn't come outside after the second ball went over the fence.

It was so nice to be out with them. I got to know all the people I work with on a more personal level & I love them all so much!!!

I got my 1 year pin too!!!! :D I'm SOOOO happy!! It feels GREAT to have been with lifetouch for a year! :)

Super Saturday

This weekend will be a busy one. I'm not sure if I'll get to blog tomorrow or not.

Today Brandon got up super early and headed over to his dad's to load up a trailer, and help his dad out today. Then he'll be back soon to take me to work, and hang out with Madyn. Tonight we'll be spending family time together. Woo-hoo! :)

Tomorrow he'll be heading up north to grandma's cabin to continue on restoring it. It's a project that he started at the end of July. He's already done SOOO much work on it. He's so good at that stuff, and I'm so lucky to have him in my life.

Tomorrow, I'm on call so we'll find out if I have to work or not, today when I go in. I know I need the hours, but cross your fingers that I don't work. LoL Also tomorrow at 5 I get to go to a pool party ;) It should be fun!!!!

Madyn is being sweet this morning. He has quite the appetite though...and I need to go to the store to keep him fed. :)

Friday, September 18, 2009

F is for Friday

So I haven't posted a blog yet today. I'm not really sure what I want to write about today.

For one thing, Madyn has pooped in the potty 5 times today...I am not sure what is causing him to have to do that so much today, but I hope he's not getting sick. He was sick for a couple hours on sunday, but he quickly got over that.

Today is payday, but I'm not rushing out to get my check because I have been busy the past two days with work, and other errands I have needed to do. So I'm taking today to, do laundry, dishes, and cleaning around the house. I also took some pictures of Madyn being an artist...On paper!! As soon as brandon finds the USB cord I'll have LOTS of pictures to post. So just be on the look out.

I love nap time. I love the quiet it brings, and I love that when he wakes up (normally)he's in a good mood, and can last the rest of the day without too many cranky episodes.

Wic Wednesday

haha. So It just so happens that my WIC appointment was today...which is wednesday! Yay for "W's"....

WIC appointment went really well. I got checks to last through Dec. We'll be getting 2 1/2 gallons of 1% milk..Not our favorite, but Madyn will drink whatever milk we give him, and I can use it to cook with too!!! :D Also, starting next month we'll be able to get $6.00 of fresh fruit and vegetables. Woo-Hoo! I love wic, I wish I didn't need it, but at this point I do.

Today was a busy day. I woke up, and my friend from work took me to Tutor time to get madyn enrolled. So that was easy, just had to fill out all that annoying paperwork that I'll have to fill out every year until high school...Oh boy. After Tutor time, I had to go to my WIC appointment at 1:30, and as said above that it went well. I also had to work today at 5. Tonight was really nice at work. I did maternity pictures!!! I absolutely love doing maternity pictures! They came out great and the family was so shocked they weren't sure what they wanted to buy.

So tomorrow I got called in to work a full shift: 10-7...I owe Stephanie a HUGE huge thank you. THANK you stephanie!!!!!!

anywho's I think that is it for today.

Wordless Wednesday

I like the idea of the doing the wordless wednesday as many other bloggers are doing today, I don't have any recent pictures on here, so I'll be posting baby Madyn pictures!!! Yay!

T is for Tuesday

So I actually got called in to work today! I'm working a full shift 9:45-7(close). There are only 4 appointments, so I hope that I can get some walk-ins!!

I have to go to tutor time tomorrow to get Madyn enrolled...I'm kind of nervous because he'll be attending Tutor time as his primary day care. He'll be in the pre-school room!! I'm hoping he enjoys it, and that by bringing him there he'll be able to get more on to a schedule even more than he already is. He's only been to one other day care for one day. He is really ready to go to school, but there are none close enough for me to ride the bus to take him. So for now he'll just go to tutor time.

My fiance is working from home today to take care of him. I love him so much. I'm hoping that this paycheck is at least $150 so I can give it to him for my rent. We shall see.

I have my WIC appointment tomorrow at 1:30 also, so I'm trying to find a ride to that. Hopefully I'll qualify for that (I'm sure I do...) and that way I'll get those checks soon so we can have milk & juice etc.

Madyn Monday

From now on Monday's will be the day I update with anything new regarding Madyn. Each other day of the week will have a certain topic I will blog about.

Today Madyn has been good. He took a 2 hour nap and is happy now and listening to everything I say. Haven't had any big problems with him today. We walked down to check the mail and he saw the bushes with flowers on them. He said "Mommy those flowers are for you." I thought it was super sweet, and I know that one day he's going to make a girl very happy!!

I am considering madyn day potty trained. He continues to tell me if he needs to use the bathroom. I am one proud Momma!!!

My friday....

I worked a full shift (10-7) yesterday, it felt great! But I worked a little while by myself. Of course in the time I was alone I encountered(spelling?), a problem. I had a very unhappy customer come in. I HATE when I have unhappy customers, because I feel like it was my fault, even if it wasn't. So she came in to pick up her pictures, I go to the drawer to get said pictures out for her....HM! They weren't there! So I look in our room where our shipment always goes. There was a box of pictures that hadn't been put away. I grab it, head back out to this customer, open the box to find out that her pictures were not there either....At this point, I go to our computer pull up the customer on our screen and then find out that her order never got put through! That explains why they weren't there, but it doesn't explain how she has a reciept and was able to pay for her pictures without an order actually being placed. Her order was almost a $500 order!!!! As I was about to call customer service my 1:20 appointment walks in...LOVELY! So I continue to deal with unhappy customer, by calling guest services, they tell me I need to call our plant where our pictures are printed...OK, so I call them. They tell me to call Guest services back. at this point my 1:00 appointment shows up too, so now not only do I have one unhappy customer I have 2 appointments waiting, and more people walking in for pickups. So guest services lady tells me to go greet my other customers and put unhappy customer on the phone. At this point I take care of the 1:20 appointment that walked in early, because the 1:00 appointment walked in at 1:14. I finished with that appointment and took the 1:00 appointment, and showed them both their pictures on the monitor at the same time. When I came out to take care of those customers, I also checked on "unhappy customer." At this point they tell me that they are hungry and need to get lunch, but are going to reorder their pictures and will be back in a little while. So that allowed me to finish with the two appointments in an orderly fashion and then I was able to help them reorder their pictures when they came back...When they left they were all happy.. It made me feel better knowing I saved this customer from not ever coming back to penney's again. But unfortunately I didn't get a break.....

Today so far is good, got the living room cleaned up, cleaned the counters and got my laundry sorted, just waiting for the laundry room to be free. Brandon's with his dad fixing his brakes, so he'll be back later.

Madyn continues to have success with the potty!!! I'm super excited and don't want to jinx him, but want to offer some kind of big reward. what kind of rewards work well with 3 year olds??

An update

So Madyn and I are now moved in with brandon! The house is amazing. I love being with him at night after he gets home from work, and on the weekends. I know Madyn is enjoying it too, but he sometimes still says "I need to go home to my grams." So I'm not sure if he realizes that this house is his new "home."

We're doing MUCH much better in potty training section! He's been wearing underwear during the day for at least two weeks and has only had 2 accidents! :) Over labor day while swimming he told me he had to pee, and went to the bathroom and did it in the potty. A little while later he had to have a bowel movement and LEFT the pool to do it! I'm SO excited!!!!! I'm not quite sure about how to go about potty training him through the night though. We're taking baby steps!! (obviously. I started last august trying to potty train him..lol)

So potty training has me really excited for our Christmas trip this year. I won't have to bring a bunch of diapers! He'll only be wearing them at night so probably only 7-14 :)

I think that's all that is "new" with me/us right now. I'll have to post a blog with just pictures in it soon!!!

Got Shtuff on my mind...

  • I'm anxious to move back in with brandon. I want to be able to see him, and talk to him more than jus through texts, and I don't like talking on the phone.
  • I'm really excited for our california trip in decemberr!!! It's going to be cold, amazing & fun. We're going to San Diego zoo, Sea world, Universal Studios, Disneyland & California Adventures!!! SO excited!
  • Brandon is going to be a groomsmen in his cousins wedding...Yay!!! I'll get to see him in a tux, even though he's not liking the idea, I'm excited for their wedding...and the reception too!
  • I'm trying REALLY hard to potty train madyn, but it's not sticking. He is way too much like me, and wants to do things on his own time. He just turned three on monday & I don't want it to take until he's FOUR to stick.
  • I......hate.......the........HEAT!!!! It's absolutley insane for it to be over 100 degrees. Bleck.
  • Somehow we managed to get a nail in our back right rear tire & a screw in our back left tire. So now we need to go get TWO new tires when we can finally hold on to $$$. I think someone is messing with us. We just replaced the right rear tire in april, because of the saaame reason...Why the HECK would anyone do that?! Grr..mean people!
  • I'm lightheaded..i think i need sleep. but I can't sleep. Gr.

I guess I should call it a "night" before the sun comes up in the morning...

I did it!!

Last tuesday, May 26, 2009 I beat one of the stastics I had stacked up against me. I graduated high school and received my diploma. This was one of my biggest dreams and I feel very accomplished. I graduated from Pinnacle virtual high school with 84 other students whom I had never met before. The whole experience was rather interesting. I got to Tempe arts center at 3:45. I was directed into the auditorium and told to take a seat anywhere I felt. Because I didn't know anyone I sat a few seats away from a few other girls. There was a little bit of chitter chatter among those who sat next to each other. Teachers and staff would occasionally walk in and check on us, but we sat there for a while. at about 4:30 A teacher came in and informed us that we would be starting our "practice." We went outside of the auditorium and got lined up alphabetically in 4 lines. As they placed us in order I had the opportunity to talk to those who I had actually never met before. I was very amused at this fact: Normally at a high school graduation there is a lot of noise, be it laughter or crying or just a lot of talking. At mine, there was talking but it wasn't any of reminescing(spelling?) it was our way of getting to know those that we had "gone" to school with. There was a lot of people who were graduating early, and a few other young girls who were expecting. Anyways, we walked back into the auditorium and began the practice. This whole process took about 30-45 minutes. After that we were instructed to go back out into the open area and we then received our caps & gowns. They were Bright blue with a gold tassle. Even though they're not that attractive I was rather anxious to put it on. After we all had gotten our "gear" we lined back up and got ready to enter the auditorium for our graduation. A few minutes later, we were told that our family and friends had filled up the auditorium and that we the graduating class were going to be sitting on stage. So basically everything we had just practiced was going "out the window." Then the song started playing and we started entering. Pomp & Circumstance. It was finally playing!! This is when it really started. I entered the stage, stood with my row and waited to be signaled to sit. After we sat it was only moments before I was handed my diploma. Success!!! I finally did what 80% of young mothers don't do. I finished high school. I finally have my high school diploma.:D
